C4TALENT Transnational Meeting in Vilanova i la Geltrú: A Collaborative Effort to Combat Brain Drain

Thrilled to announce that the C4TALENT network meets in Spain between 28-30 May 2024. 


This pivotal event will gather representatives from our ten partner cities to share insights, review progress, and tackle the brain drain phenomenon through innovative strategies.

About C4TALENT

C4TALENT (Cities for Talent) is an URBACT IV Action Planning Network designed to help small- and medium-sized European cities address the brain drain phenomenon and the outmigration of talented workforce. By fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, C4TALENT aims to create vibrant ecosystems that attract and retain talent.

Participating Cities

The project brings together ten dynamic cities from across Europe: Nyíregyháza (Lead partner, Hungary); Alghero (Italy); Alytus (Lithuania); Centar Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina); Piraeus (Greece); Pula (Croatia); Roeselare (Belgium); Rzeszów (Poland); Varberg (Sweden); Vilanova i la Geltrú (Host, Spain).

Key Highlights of the Meeting

The upcoming meeting in Vilanova i la Geltrú is set to be an invaluable opportunity for collaboration and learning. Over the course of three days, participants will engage in a series of discussions, workshops, and sessions designed to share insights and refine strategies.

Key Topics to be Covered Include

- Peer Sessions: These sessions will focus on reviewing progress, results, and challenges faced by the partner cities.

- Deep-Dive Sessions: Dedicated to the Integrated Action Plan process, these sessions will provide an in-depth look at formulating effective strategies.

- Learning Events: A half-day practical masterclass on “Building a Functional Entrepreneurial Ecosystem,” delivered by ad-hoc experts Alison Partridge and Tracey Johnson will provide valuable insights and practical knowledge.

- Study Visits: Participants will visit Tecnocampus Mataró, a university-based enterprise and innovation hub, and Norrsken Barcelona House, Europe’s largest hub for tech and impact.
