Summary

ABOUT ME

Innovation Pilots Manager
I am highly experienced in scoping, planning, managing, and implementing urban planning and transport pilots with European municipalities of all sizes. During my professional experience at EIT Urban Mobility, I co-created and supported the Rapid Applications for Transport (RAPTOR) programme and managed the SME Market Expansion call for 3 years. I was the project manager for over 20 innovation projects with cities and start-ups testing and developing energy, micromobility management, transport data, computer vision, logistics, last-mile, loading zones, park and ride, low emission zones, carpooling, cycling parking, and wayfinding solutions.

WHAT I CAN OFFER

Designing and Facilitating Transnational Knowledge Exchange
Bringing cities together to share knowledge and best practices is one of the activities I find most meaningful. I have planned and moderated more than 4 exchange sessions since 2023 with European cities of all sizes on the topics of transport accessibility and mobility data collection. These focused on examining well known best practices, current challenges, ongoing pilots, local policies and practices, and ideas for accelerating the update of new solutions. I am especially keen to support URBACT missions looking for help in setting up and implementing knowledge exchanges.

Participatory Processes with Cities
My doctoral research examined participatory methods for engaging citizens in urban planning in European contexts. Professionally, I have co-designed and supported citizen engagement programming with over 10 cities involved in piloting urban transportation innovations. Further, I have facilitated 4 workshops with groups of 10-14 cities between 202-2024 on the topic of choosing and planning to implement the contextually best citizen engagement methods. I can advise URBACT missions in planning citizen engagement activities as well as, if relevant, supporting the implementation and evaluation of the results of citizen engagement activities.

Presentations and Panel Moderation
I have presented research findings at academic conferences in the UK, Portugal, and Norway. Additionally, I have moderated panels and been a panel member for urban planning and transport topics at events such as the Smart City World Congress and the UITP Global Public Transport Summit. I can support URBACT missions that need help organising and preparing panel content and moderation notes in addition to, if relevant, serving as a panel member.

Professional Editing Services
I am a member of the Chartered Institute for Editing and Proofreading (UK) and been professionally trained to edit and proofread written materials for publications. I am able to help URBACT missions looking for a native English speaker who can provide quality editorial support.
