Summary

🧭 About Me

I am a bridge builder with a beating heart for creating meaningful societal impact—locally and transnationally. As a social innovation consultant, I help public institutions, civil society organisations, and city networks reach their goals by designing and delivering participatory processes that are inclusive, engaging, and grounded in strategic thinking.

Within the URBACT programme, I am a validated expert for both network-level and programme-level missions. I support the design and delivery of (transnational) exchange and learning activities, with particular thematic expertise in:

  • Social Innovation

  • Culture

  • Participative Governance

I also specialise in methods and tools for integrated and participatory approaches, including:

  • Monitoring and evaluation for effective implementation

  • Sustaining stakeholder engagement and translating strategies into concrete actions

🧰 Services as an Independent Consultant

As an independent consultant, I work with cities, NGOs, and EU institutions to support:

  • Organisational development and capacity-building

  • Participatory project and programme evaluation

  • Co-creation and facilitation of workshops, events, and learning journeys

  • Strategy and campaign design

  • Citizen engagement processes and stakeholder dialogues

My facilitation style is empathetic and clear. I draw on design thinking, futures literacy, and collaborative leadership tools to help people work better together and move from ideas to impact.

🔍 Recent Missions and Clients

In the past 5 years I supported numerous clients in reaching their desired destination. With Seas at Risk, I led a multi-year learning and advocacy journey to strengthen collaboration among environmental NGOs focused on Marine Protected Areas. For Missing Children Europe, I conceptualised and hosted high-level events on online grooming and child protection, bringing together institutional stakeholders and experts.

In 2023, I supported Energy Cities in the conceptualisation, design, and rollout of its annual conference “Grafting Cities: Cultivating our Common Future”, held in Modena, Italy. The work involved programme design, event coordination, online communications, and integrating creative formats rooted in design thinking.

Last year, I led an organisational development process with the European Network Against Racism (ENAR), using surveys, interviews, and workshops to analyse their structure, culture, and finances. Together with the team, we identified priorities and supported task forces in achieving their goals.

I also conducted several participatory programme evaluations for organisations like the Heinrich Böll Stiftung, SOLIDAR and CIDSE, applying developmental evaluation principles; as well as facilitated several editions of the European Innovative Teaching Award (2022–2024), collaborating with Erasmus+ National Agencies to deliver transnational learning labs for educators.

🏛️ Previous Work in Civil Society and Think Tanks

Before becoming a consultant, I worked for over a decade in European networks and think tanks at the intersection of democracy, sustainability, and civic engagement.

At EUROCITIES, I coordinated the Cities4Europe – Europe for Citizens campaign, supporting over 90 cities to launch citizen panels and prototype democratic innovations.

At the New Economics Foundation, I led the European chapter of a network promoting alternatives to mainstream economic thinking. As Secretary General of the Young European Federalists, I managed campaigns and strengthened national branches across the continent. At European Alternatives, I managed several transnational projects, including the Transeuropa Festival, a transnational event blending civic activism, cultural practice, and policy debate in cities across Europe.

🌍 Languages & Location

I am fluent in Italian, English, and French, and comfortable working in Spanish. Based in Brussels, I collaborate with partners all across Europe and beyond.

🤝 Let's Work Together

I’m always open to working with cities, networks, and organisations striving to make our democracies more participatory, our policies more human-centred, and our future more just.
