Summary
Kerri is a qualified spatial planner, urban designer and project manager, with over 30 years international experience in public, private and NGO sectors. Her early-career training as a chartered surveyor in private property development & investment gives her work has a strong commercial acumen.
Kerri has led many complex projects and programmes, and large multi-service directorates in city and metropolitan-level municipalities, often in challenging & politically-sensitive environments, and advising on operational requirements, restructuring and internal capacity-building. Her expertise includes all aspects of sustainable urban development and regeneration, including associated stakeholder & community engagement, innovation, social inclusion and volunteering. Her extensive experience as a peer partner/reviewer and lead awards assessor with many cities across the world has built excellent skills in collaboration and mentoring.
Kerri's experience as a retained expert/advisor includes to the World Bank, DG-REGIO, International Urban Development Association (INTA), METREX (associated of European Metropolitan Authorities), ISOCARP and many others. Her background has included a lot of housing- and heritage-specific initiatives, which is reflected in her URBACT Thematic validations.
For URBACT, Kerri is currently Thematic Expert for the Urban Pioneers Accelerator (UPA) programme, working with cities across 6 Balkan accession states on urban greening and sustainability, including design & delivery of pilot green infrastructure projects in each of the 9 participating cities.
