Summary
Laura P. Spinadel (Buenos Aires, 1958) is an Argentine–Austrian architect, urban planner, writer, and educator, based in Vienna. She is the founder and principal of BUSarchitektur and BOA – Office for Advanced Randomness.
Her work follows a holistic and transdisciplinary approach, addressing complex urban and territorial challenges through the integration of architecture, technology, social sciences, culture, and participatory processes. She is internationally recognised for pioneering projects such as Compact City Vienna and Campus WU Vienna, both considered milestones in holistic urban development.
During the master planning of the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) campus, she assumed multiple strategic roles and identified network-building and consensus creation as key success factors in complex urban projects. This insight led to the development of URBAN MENUS, a participatory methodology and digital decision-support system enabling consensus-based, 3D future planning.
