Shape the future URBACT!

As one of the European Territorial Cooperation Programmes, URBACT joined the INTERREG consultation 2024 on the future Cohesion Policy (post 2027).

With an EU survey and workshops on cities’ needs and cooperation for sustainable urban development, URBACT launched the debate to make the voice of European cities heard in the debate on the future policy.

The consultation was guided by DG REGIO's framework, involving diverse European voices to create a comprehensive dialogue on future policy.

What did we do?

URBACT engaged with representatives from European cities, urban practitioners, young people, researchers, and citizens through a range of activities:

  • EU Survey: Conducted in spring 2024 and concluded in July 2024
  • Workshops: Organised with URBACT stakeholders (April - October 2024)
  • Youth-Focused Workshops: Special sessions dedicated to young people (May - September 2024)
  • Expert Discussions: Findings reviewed and analysed with experts (July - October 2024).
  • URBACT Monitoring Committee: Results presented at the URBACT Monitoring Committee meeting (October 2024).
