The main topic was the formulation of a long-term vision and identifying goals for developing a favorable entrepreneurial environment locally and attracting and retaining young talent. After a brief introduction and reviewing conclusions from the previous meeting, the focus shifted to group work using the "Newspaper of Tomorrow" tool to create a shared vision. This collaborative approach values diverse opinions, flexibility in ideas, and understanding differences. Group results will significantly contribute to the URBACT C4Talent project and will be further developed in future meetings.
The meeting was led by experts from Apsolon strategija d.o.o., with the ULG coordinator and representatives from the City of Pula. Participants included members from ICT Istra, Metamedij Association, UNIPU, Istrian Polytechnic, Pula Port Authority, DAI-SAI, HGK – ŽK Pula, IDA d.o.o., Pula Herculanea d.o.o., Veli Vrh Local Committee, ZUM Association, Green Istra, the Foundation for Partnership and Civil Society Development, and various city departments.
URBACT IV, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, recognizes cities as drivers of sustainable development and envisions their collaboration through city networks. The project's goal is to support cities in creating integrated and sustainable urban development plans. Specifically, this project aims to develop an Integrated Action Plan for the Vallelunga brownfield site by November 2025, achieved through ULG meeting outcomes.
