Deputy Mayor of Torres Vedras, Ana Umbelino, officially received all the network partners at Torres Vedras Camara Municipal. In addition, the event was attended by the director of the National Urbact Point of Portugal, Maria José Efigénio.
The work sessions were led by the network's expert, Ian Graham, who carried out workshops to identify the metrics to measure the digital divide, the population groups most affected by it and the data tools that will be used for the project. The objective of the network is to guarantee that citizens, regardless of their social or economic status, can benefit from the opportunities offered by the digital world.
Those who attended the conference worked with specific tools to collect ideas and develop them further with the aim to use them during local work groups (ULG) meetings. Hence, the network partners worked collaboratively during the work sessions and fruitful debates were generated with the goal to allow citizens to benefit from existing digital opportunities equitably.
While celebrating this second transnational meeting, good practices in digitalization were shared. On the one hand, Project 42 - Inclusão Digital para Todos, which is a project that offers a technological classroom, computer equipment and training in collaboration with the Torres Vedras training center. On the other hand, the project partner from Lepida (Italy) shared their experience carrying out the first Pilot test of the network.
Moreover, this transnational meeting has been the perfect opportunity to hold Advisory Board and Steering Committee meetings with all network partners.
Finally, the network members have also agreed on sharing the lessons and knowledge learned with their ULG members, local stakeholders and representatives. The next transnational meeting of the DIGI-INCLUSION network will be held in June 2024 in the Latvian city of Jelgava
