C4TALENT is on a mission to help its partner cities create environments where talent thrives. Through a 30-month collaborative journey, the project is focused on developing active policies that attract and retain talent, counteracting the effects of brain drain.
While fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems is essential, C4TALENT takes a holistic approach, recognizing that talent attraction and retention go beyond business opportunities. The project identifies four key pillars that shape a talent-friendly city: Place, Work, Life, and Attraction.
Each pillar addresses specific factors that make cities more appealing to talent:
Place focuses on sustainable transport, green spaces, and welcoming urban environments.
Work emphasizes quality jobs, competitive wages, and an innovation-friendly business ecosystem.
Life ensures access to affordable housing, high-standard public services, and a rich cultural scene.
Attraction highlights the importance of a strong city brand, inclusive social environments, and strategic development plans.
C4TALENT recognizes that a talent-friendly city integrates climate-friendly, SMART and digital, inclusive, innovative, and participative principles across all four pillars, while the project specifically focuses on enhancing the Work pillar to drive talent attraction and retention.
