Two intense days filled with collaboration, insights, brainstorming and strategic strategizing to design all important aspects of our action-planning journey aimed at creating a better environment for startups and businesses in partner cities to attract and retain talent.
Day 1: Kicked off with warm greetings from Deputy Mayors Ms. Jurgita Šukevičienė and Mr. Bronius Bieliauskas. We delved deep into our policy challenge: How can small- and medium-sized towns attract and retain talent through the development of a vibrant startup community and a supportive business ecosystem? In the Partners' Corner session, each city shared its unique context, challenges, and key insights, fostering a rich exchange that uncovered commonalities and differences. We also dedicated time to pinpoint the specific training needs of our partner cities.
Day 2: Building on the robust foundation from Day 1, we collaboratively designed our action planning journey. This involved outlining exchange and learning activities, scheduling transnational meetings, and identifying thematic focuses. We also brainstormed online learning events, study tours, and discussed our draft Communication Plan. At our last session we ensured that every detail aligns with the main requirements of successful network administration and management. A special shout-out to our incredible hosts from the city of Alytus for providing the perfect environment to work hard during the day and unwind in the evenings. We are now ready to finalize our network roadmap and and embark on this exciting learning and action planning journey together.
Heartfelt thanks to our fantastic host city representatives (Neringa Rinkeviciute, Asta Kimante, Kamilė Albavičienė), Evgenia Strati from the Urbact Secretariat for her unwavering support, and our amazing partners for their knowledge-sharing and relentless commitment to our common goals.
