Revitalization is a very complex and complicated process, which, contrary to the common stereotype, includes not only property and road renovations, but also working with the community living in a degraded area. The aim of revitalisation is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants, which can only be achieved through direct cooperation and contact with them.
In the next product of our regeneration kit we present one of the most important elements of our good practice - mediators. Using the example of Łódź, which was the first city in Poland which decide to create a team of Social Lighthouse Keepers and Hosts of the Area, we show the competences, scope of duties and training of people who can perform such functions also in other cities in Europe, where it is necessary to cooperate with residents, especially in degraded urban areas.
