In Plan Einstein Academy, six cities collaborate to transfer good practices from Utrecht’s Plan Einstein approach to new local contexts. Network partners will look for ways to develop creative welcoming spaces and activities which enable meaningful encounters between newcomers and their neighbours - taking account of the needs of both - from the first day of arrival. In order to build more inclusive and resilient societies, local authorities need to ensure that migrant reception and support policies guarantee that migrants overcome obstacles in accessing their rights. The WELDI network empowers local authorities to put human rights at the heart of their efforts to develop dignified and innovative approaches to welcoming newcomers. In achieving this goal, cities of this network work hand in hand with migrants and other residents, as well as with local, national and international partners.
