A very collaborative 2nd Transnational meeting!

Our second transnational meeting was hosted by the city of Vila Nova de Famalicao and took place online on 25^th & 26^th November. The meeting focussed on the topic of collaboration and looked at ways in which cities could stimulate collaboration with a view to accelerating the circular economy.

Kreative Zwischennutzung von Leerstand in Altena: Pop-Up Weihnachtsmarkt „Altenaer Wintermeile“

Altena in Nordrhein-Westfalen vermittelt im Transfer-Netzwerk Re-growCity als Lead Partner seine erfolgreiche Strategie gegen den Schrumpfungsprozess – eine URBACT Good Practice. Zum Ende der Projektlaufzeit blicken wir zurück auf den Transferprozess und die URBACT-Aktivitäten in Altena. So nutzte die Stadt u.a. Leerstand in der Innenstadt kreativ und rief die „Altenaer Wintermeile“ ins Leben. Als Alternative zum Weihnachtsmarkt, der durch die aktuelle Corona-Situation abgesagt werden musste, wurden leerstehende Läden angemietet und den Aussteller*innen der Weihnachtsmärkte angeboten.

2η συνεδρία City2City του Δικτύου Σχεδιασμού Δράσης Resourceful Cities: «H κλιμάκωση της τοπικής κυκλικής οικονομίας»

Τη Δευτέρα 14 Δεκεμβρίου, το δίκτυο σχεδιασμού δράσης του URBACT, Resourceful Cities, πραγματοποίησε τη δεύτερη συνεδρία του, City2City, που φιλοξένησε η πορτογαλική πόλη Vila Nova de Famalicão, με θέμα την κλιμάκωση της τοπικής κυκλικής οικονομίας.

 Η Vila Nova de Famalicão είναι ένας από τους πιο επιχειρηματικούς δήμους στην Πορτογαλία. Η νέα της ενέργεια, η ποικιλία ανθρώπινων πόρων και δεξιοτήτων, η ευημερία και η συνεχής ανάπτυξη είναι τα κύρια χαρακτηριστικά που ορίζουν αυτήν την πόλη ως ένα εξαιρετικό μέρος για να ζήσει  και να επενδύσει κανείς. Η περιοχή ενθαρρύνει τη γνώση, την καινοτομία και τον πολιτισμό. Το Famalicão είναι ένα εξαιρετικό παράδειγμα για όλες τις πόλεις!

Η ανακεφαλαίωση μίας ......... διαδικτυακής χρονιάς

Το 2020 ήταν μία δύσκολη και παράξενη χρονιά για όλους μας, ειδικά για εκείνους που υπέφεραν άμεσα από την πανδημία. Στην αρχή, όταν ετοιμαζόμασταν για τη διακρατική συνάντησή του Δικτύου Μεταφοράς Καλής Πρακτικής, CARD4ALL, στη Τζουρμάλα (Jurmala) στη Λετονία που είχε προγραμματιστεί για τον Μάρτιο του 2020, δεν μπορούσαμε να πιστέψουμε τι συνέβη γύρω μας και προσπαθήσαμε να διατηρήσουμε τα σχέδιά μας, αλλά γρήγορα, συνειδητοποιήσαμε ότι ήταν χειρότερο από το αναμενόμενο και ότι έπρεπε να αλλάξουμε τα σχέδιά μας .....

A Glance of the Future

The second Card4all Masterclass was about “New Digital Tendencies for Cities” a theme that all kind of cities, big and small, urban and rural, are struggling to be on top of this transformation. For that Card4all network invited Professor Paulo Cortez http://www3.dsi.uminho.pt/pcortez for a 2 hour masterclass that reveled to be “A Glance of the Future”.

A closer cooperation between culture and tourism at the core of the Tourism Forum in Krakow

On the 15^th of December 2020, another meeting of the Urbact Local Group was held in Krakow in the frame of the Tourism Friendly Cities project. It was a part of a Tourism Forum organized as a partial online meeting at the ICE congress centre in Krakow. The meeting was attended, among others, by the deputy mayor of Kraków, the plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Kraków for culture, the President of the Polish Tourist Organization, the President of the Regional Tourist Organization, the director of the Wawel Royal Castle and several directors and employees of Krakow museums, entrepreneurs and residents.
