The big moment in the last ULG meeting in Esplugues, on the 14th of October, was a workshop designed to define one of the most important challenges of our project, a ludobus or mobile toy library. During this fruitful brainstorming, we looked for the ideal name and image of the future resource, we discussed the most convenient games and their objectives, and we tried to trace a map of spaces, periodicity, and schedules, among other aspects. Obviously, we made all of this through play.

Around 20 people, representatives of associations, schools, the Public Library or the Municipal Music School, besides the city council technical staff, participate in the face-to-face session. All results will be hung on the digital private group of discussion for ULG members, through the platform Esplugues Participa (https://espluguesparticipa.diba.cat). There, all the ULG members could vote for the Ludobus name, incorporate and comment new ideas and have access to news and documents about the Playful Paradigm.

In addition to the mobile playroom, the Esplugues project includes involving schools to use the game as an educational tool, carry out an annual programming of Playful activities based on the game and enable a fixed space with games for all ages. Participation Councillor, Montse Zamora, highlighted the “participatory” aspect of the project covered in Playful Paradigm, whose objective is to promote the game as a factor of social cohesion, inclusion, sustainability and promotion of healthy habits.

In Esplugues, game connects us.
