In Bydgoszcz one can find large lowland rivers, small watercourses, various types of forests, communities of meadows and grasslands, peat bogs, parks, squares and gardens. The 2018 Bydgoszcz City Council Resolution lifted the ban on bee breeding and now it is allowed in our city. The City of Bydgoszcz is an ally to nature preservation that strives to demonstrate the importance of pollinators and the need to protect bees. Due to the remaining common fear of bees, all-year-long educational and promotional campaigns should be an essential element of the City's activities.
In the City of Bydgoszcz there were many things going on but they always found new ways to inspire us. One of the inspirational achievements is the Beehive on wheels created by Ania Izdebska a biology teacher, which enables the beehive to be loaned out to schools so they can teach about bees and bee life. Two important members of the ULG team are Dawid Kilon and Monika Wojcik Musial. Monika has prepared the descriptions of the natural assets of the Bee Path stops and David is the author of the drawings in the Bee BeePathNet Exhibition in Bydgoszcz, the Balaton Path information drawings, the booklet: Honey is not first, it is the bees. It is inspiring how many changes have happened in the city since the ban on bee breeding in the city has been lifted.
