Join us in Bucharest to learn how to unlock funding opportunity for the energy transition in cities and foster more sustainable urban practices!

 

 

 

The EU City Lab on Energy Transition #2 is a knowledge-sharing event co organised by URBACT and the European Urban Initiative (EUI), with support from the host District 6 of the Municipality of Bucharest (Romania). It will take place from 20 to 21 November 2024.

 

The event will focus on different ways of funding energy transition projects to meet cities’ needs. Through discussions and knowledge-sharing, thematic sessions and group activities, the event aims to explore how innovative and diverse financing solutions can power cities’ sustainable future across Europe.
 

 

This EU City Lab is a unique opportunity to:

 

-Find out how District 6 of Bucharest’s Municipality succeeded in applying different funding strategies to meet the needs of its citizens;

-Discover the approaches experimented by other EU cities to foster diverse energy funding opportunities;

-Visit sites in District 6 of Bucharest's Municipality and exchange with local communities;

-Improve your understanding of the EU landscape around way of funding Energy transition;

-Bring back home inspiring lessons and concrete tools to spur transformation in your city.

 

The event will gather funding experts, funders representatives, cities and urban policy experts from across Europe working on the energy transition. 

 

 

What is an EU City Lab?

 

The Bucharest event is the second and last in a series of two EU City Labs on Energy transition. The first EU City Lab on Energy Transition #1 took place in Viladecans, Spain, on 23-24 November 2023.

Participation is free. Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of participants. The event is in person only (remote participation will not be possible). Further practical information will be posted soon.
