Summary

I am a senior consultant for Green and Health Cities with experience of over 10 years on urban greening and nature-based solutions, biodiversity, urban health, mobility, urban planning, social innovation and climate adaptation. I am a city enthusiast and always strive for new innovative solutions and approaches that provide livability to urban environments. I have experience and skills in network management, knowledge transfer activities, and facilitation.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in collaborative projects within EU state-of-the-art initiatives such as FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, Interreg, and URBACT. I have coordinated working groups and conducted academic research to contribute to the advancement of urban sustainability. I am currently the Lead Expert for the One Health 4 Cities Network (2023-2025), supporting a network of 9 cities to develop One Health Integrated Action Plans that incorporate human, animal and environmental health.  I was the ad-hoc Expert for the URBACT Healthy Cities Network ( 2019-2022). My involvement in Healthy Cities has provided me with first-hand experience in delivering successful activities within an Action Planning Network. One of my key contributions has been leading the development and implementation of the Health Impact Assessment methodology for the proposed action plans.

I have organised multiple online and in-person workshops and sessions to engage partners and facilitate knowledge sharing among cities and scientists. I am experienced in communication activities, creating meaningful interactions and extracting and analysing lessons from such activities. I currently support cities in introducing biodiversity-positive solutions to support local nature and people thrive in a highly co-creative and innovative setup in 5 European cities and working towards understanding how to green the last mile, in very dense urban areas.

In addition to my project work, I have been teaching at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in the post-graduate degree program "Urbanism and Health." In this role, I focus on teaching topics related to Health Impact Assessment for urban development projects and city master plans. I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and expertise to empower future urban planners and professionals. I am also a certified Forest Bathing Guide and Forest Therapy Practitioner.

I hold a M.Sc. in Environment and International Development from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and a M.Sc. in Joint European Master in Environmental Studies - Cities & Sustainability, a program offered jointly by Aalborg University and Autonomous University of Barcelona - ICTA and other top-level European universities.
