Alphen aan den Rijn: Op weg naar een groen-blauwe stad!

Alphen aan den Rijn is een gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Zuid-Holland. Het was oorspronkelijk een Romeinse stad, maar industrialiseerde in de 19e en 20e eeuw. Het buitengebied en de dorpen zijn gecentreerd rond agrarische bedrijvigheid, waaronder het dorp Boskoop, dat beroemd is om zijn 560 plantenkwekerijen. Deze groene achtertuin is een belangrijke economische pijler van Alphen aan den Rijn en gaat een belangrijke rol spelen bij de gezonde stadsplanning.

The Climate Kid - A Superhero we all need!

The Climate kid works with schoolchildren on a sustainable living environment

The City of Vilvoorde launched the Climate kid on 20 February 2018. Its mission is to make it clear to children of the 3rd grade of the primary school what climate change means and how they can contribute to a climate neutral Vilvoorde. The Climate kid visited 15 classes in different schools and his tour ended with a closing event at which the pupils presented their plans for a climate-active Vilvoorde.
