Diary of an international talent in Leuven

The Welcoming International Talent project focusses on welcoming international students and expats in medium sized European cities. Aim is to improve welcoming policies of these seven cities with various projects. But how do internationals themselves experience living in these welcoming cities? In this column, an international from each WIT-city will share their experiences. This time: Alexander from Leuven, Belgium!

Jan Kees Kleuver is coordinator of the Welcoming International Talent project and works for the municipality of Groningen. We asked him how he sees the last couple of months of the WIT project and what his plans are for the next period. 

Interview s projektovou manažérkou Luciou Škrovanovou o zapojení Hlavného mesta SR - Bratislavy do projektu Cities4CSR

Sieť pre akčné plánovanie „Cities4CSR – Cities for Corporate Social Responsibility“ vznikla vďaka podpore operačného programu URBACT III v programovom období 2014 – 2020. Projekt vychádza z predpokladu, že spoločenská zodpovednosť firiem ponúka množstvo príležitostí pre mestá v oblasti zlepšenia stratégií, miestnych plánov, využitia hodnoty partnerstiev so súkromným sektorom a s príslušnými zainteresovanými stranami na miestnej úrovni.  V tejto súvislosti sa sieť pre akčné plánovanie "Cities4CSR" venuje nastaveniu efektívnejších a presne cielených opatrení na vytvorenie nových spôsobov a nástrojov, ako posilniť kapacity všetkých miestnych aktérov tak, aby sa zlepšila spolupráca medzi Hlavným mestom SR - Bratislovou, podnikmi a občianskou spoločnosťou v prospech udržateľného mestského rozvoja.

A program során a bevezető előadásokban a folyamatban lévő és a következő EU-s ciklus két népszerű témakörét érintettük: szó esett a közösségvezérelt helyi fejlesztések (CLLD program) városi tapasztalatairól, továbbá két előadást szenteltünk a zöld-kék infrastruktúra témakörének. Az előadásokat követően egy tanulságos panelbeszélgetésre került sor az akciótervezési hálózatok négy hazai városának képviselőivel, szakértőivel.
