Getting a move on: small sustainable mobility actions, big impact

What makes a city truly walkable, cyclable, or low emissions? While the returns are ambitious, implementing inclusive active mobility projects can feel daunting. Often the perception in city organisations is that change can only be achieved with big, costly actions, as opposed to smaller interventions.

Comino Redevelopment Project Approved: A Model of Sustainable Island Tourism

The Planning Board has given the green light to the redevelopment of the Comino Hotel and Bungalows, ushering in a new chapter for one of Malta’s most environmentally sensitive destinations. The project reflects key principles promoted by URBACT and the European Urban Initiative (EUI), particularly those concerning sustainable tourism, regeneration of underused spaces, and nature-based solutions.

Since its creation in 1993, InformaGiovani Arezzo, the Municipal Youth Services Centre and Youth Business Hub, has grown into a well-recognised reference point for inclusion and empowerment — and today, it stands out as a case example in the URBACT TechDiversity network.
