A look back at the 2025 URBACT City Festival

From 8 to 10 April, the URBACT City Festival welcomed in Wroclaw, Poland, 523 participants, representing 321 cities across 36 countries. So what happened during these three days?

Buzzing with sustainability: green day brings to Veszprém's schoolchildren

This year on 16 May, as a side event of Planet Lens, the "Green Day - Sustainability all the time" event took place in Veszprém, aiming to bring sustainability issues closer to the schoolchildren of Veszprém in an interactive and playful way. The URBACT BiodiverCity project was also represented at the event, where the city's apiary was presented by Erika Csiza and Péter Simon. The children were fascinated by the bees visibly working in the beehive and enjoyed tasting the sweet treats. The next time the people of Veszprém can meet bees, their keepers and the fruits of their labour will be on 22 June at the Biodiversity Festival.

Innovative Ideen für nachhaltige Städte: Good-Practices beim URBACT-City-Festival 2025

Vom 8. bis zum 10. April 2025 fand das diesjährige URBACT-City-Festival in Breslau, Polen statt bei dem um die 600 Vertreter:innen aus 325 Städten und 36 Ländern zusammenkamen, um an drei Tagen Erfahrungen auszutauschen und die ausgezeichneten Good-Practice-Beispiele als potenzielle Leadpartner für den bis zum 30. Juni 2025 geöffneten Transfernetzwerk-Call kennenzulernen.

Successful Joint URBACT & EUI Information Session in Malta: Key Highlights and Takeaways

The Joint URBACT and EUI Information Session held on 7th May in Malta brought together local authorities and stakeholders from across the Maltese Islands. The session offered a unique opportunity to discuss the latest good practices on urban sustainable development, share experiences, and deepen cooperation for sustainable urban development.

9th Transnational Meeting in Jumilla: Exchange, Experimentation, and Collective Intelligence at the Heart of the Breaking Isolation Project 

The 9th Transnational Meeting (TNM) of the European Breaking Isolation network was held in Jumilla, Spain, bringing together all project partners for several days of rich and inspiring discussions focused on tackling social isolation.
