SHIFT-R is a Transfer Network inspired by Fundão’s (PT) award-winning model of building a place-based innovation ecosystem to revitalise small cities.The network focuses on creating dynamic ecosystems that combine technology, talent and territory, transforming these cities into hubs of attraction for startups, companies and digital nomads. The initiative fosters innovation as an engine for economic and social development.

​RE:START is an URBACT-funded Transfer Network on boosting the attractiveness of mid-sized cities. It will capitalise on the experience of Idanha-a-Nova (PT) reverting depopulation by creating new pathways for growth, using innovative place branding as a main driver. Along with Idanha, the transfer cities are Jonadi (IT), Loutraki (EL), Marina Alta functional area (ES), Nyborg (DK) and Khotyn (UA).

The PARKS network aims to transform urban greenery management by placing citizens at the heart of public space care. The project facilitates the transfer of best practices through a collaborative ecosystem involving schools, professionals, and businesses, with a primary focus on active community participation. By empowering residents to lead stewardship efforts, PARKS ensures that urban green areas are co-managed, sustainable, and deeply rooted in the needs of the people who use them.

OLYMPICS4ALL is a community-based project implemented across seven European municipalities, aimed at promoting active and healthy ageing through physical activities, traditional games, and adapted competitions for seniors and other vulnerable groups. It seeks to foster more inclusive, active, and socially connected communities.
